Four detailed designs, redrawn for print

A fine-dining event in Berlin had striking artwork for its merchandise, but the files were low-resolution and unusable for apparel printing. We rebuilt every design by hand as a clean, scalable vector, ready for the print shop.

The brief

The artwork looked great on screen, but the print shop couldn't use it.

The client's designs had been created with AI image tools. They were too low-resolution for apparel printing, and the print shop asked for manually vectorized files: clean, crisp lines and transparent backgrounds that scale to any size.

How we did it

Redrawn by hand, not auto-traced

Automatic tracing turns low-resolution images into thousands of uneven points: wobbly lettering, blobby details and files printers reject. Every shape here was rebuilt by hand.

  1. Study each design

Every flourish, letterform and texture mapped before drawing a single path.

  2. Redraw by hand

Clean curves built path by path, so lettering stays sharp and ornaments stay smooth.

  3. Prepare for print

Noise removed and fine detail kept readable at shirt size, from chest print to full back.

  4. Deliver and refine

Files delivered with transparent backgrounds, then refined through rounds of detailed feedback.

Up close

Detail that holds up close

The true test of a vector redraw is the fine detail: hairline architecture, tightly curled lettering and dense ornament that still print cleanly.

Colour palette

Eight colours across four designs

Each design kept its own character, but they share a palette, so the collection works as one set at the event.

One design, every shirt colour

A design that works on a black shirt can disappear on a white one. Alongside the main files, we delivered extra colour variants of one design so the client could print it on different shirt colours without losing detail.

Client review

Great experience working with Lalith. Had four complex illustrations that needed manual vectorization for print, and he delivered clean, scalable results across all of them. What really stood out was his patience through multiple revision rounds, his friendly communication, and his willingness to accommodate detail-level feedback without ever pushing back. He even delivered extra variants of one design to give us flexibility for different shirt colors. Would happily work with him again on future projects, highly recommended for anyone needing detailed vector work or apparel-ready illustration. Thanks Lalith 🙏
