White spaces add balance to the design. They are one of the main ingredients in creating a minimalist site.

Tip 02: Use brilliant colors


Brilliant colors add a fun element to the design but are not easy to integrate on a site that is meant to be minimalist. Vivid colors catch the eye and attention of visitors, but too many colors kill the color and have the opposite effect: the site becomes unreadable, messy, irritating.

When using brilliant colors, mix them with paler tones, by using white or black typography, or by incorporating a background of a solid and discreet color as in the example above.
